I’m ready to start blogging again. It appears that I have incredibly unrealistic expectations about my ability to blog while traveling from one country to another. First, when I went to Alaska, I believed I would blog everyday while there but realized I couldn’t shortly after. And not ever wanting to do that “not blogging” thing again, I believed I could blog every day even amidst my move to France. This, again, wasn’t possible. So as a fair warning to you…when I tell you I will blog everyday during an international trip, I actually may not be able to, not for lack of trying.
Ok, but enough of that. I have time now! And I have internet now! And I have pictures now!
BAM! There is the first picture I’ll show you. I surprised you didn’t I…you know, giving you a photo without warning you first…didn’t I?…ok, nevermind, moving on, right now…
It’s the airplane ride. I wasn’t scared! Yay! I’ll tell you about it later. It was honestly the most beautiful flight I ever had and I was able to see the sunrise. It was also the most eventful flight ever, but again on that later…
I reunited with FBF. Everybody join me in a huge sigh of relief, “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” ya, that felt better and it feels so good to finally be with him again!
And now for a different kind of sigh. Maybe a gasp. Maybe a heart attack. This place is BREATHTAKING! It’s 800 years old! About a million times older than North America (that would make North America only a couple of hours old?…can you do the math for me?…a.k.a. not accurate in my million times older estimation). FBF’s parents live only a 5 minute walk away from this place called, “La Citadel de Reims”. All the French kings were crowned here.
FBF gave his dad a racing lesson for his birthday and it fell on the day after I arrived in France. He drove a Lamborghini, Porsche and a Ferrari. This is all latin to me because I am not a huge car gal but I have to say it was incredibly cool watching him zoom across the track and it was so cute because every time I pointed my camera at him he gave a pose as if he were famous (see above).
We made a driving tour around Paris after the racing. That thing is HUUUUUGE in person…”L’Arc de Triumph” (if my spelling is off, correct me!).
The next day we went back to that citadel (see waaaay above)…although this time we went to the top of it. I love this picture!
Oh and remember how I have been obsessing about trying the coffee in France, well I finally was able to. I have had around a million so far and oh baby, they are good!
Until next time Mon Amours….which is probably going to be a few times today! Yay! I’m back blogging and I love it!
