Lion’s Rock

Lion’s Rock is a hiking destination here in Hong Kong named that because from a certain angle, the rock looks like a lion. And it really does! On google. I couldn’t capture that angle.

It is around a 2 hour hike to the top of the steep hill. It’s stairs the whole way. And surprisingly I find going down that many stairs to be a lot more challenging than going up. When I go down stairs for such a long distance, my ankles get all shaky. Going up just feels like a satisfying work out.

Apparently there are monkeys in the area so we will definitely go back to see if they are there because they weren’t this time and I really want to see monkeys.

We were lucky to have such beautiful weather!

Looks like quite an adventure! We saw monkeys in Costa Rica. They were neat to see, so I hope you get to see some too.

what a beautiful lookout point and bravo for getting up there, 2 hour uphill hike sounds tiring! and i agree about walking down being harder.. over in the blue mountains just outside of sydney there is a walk down of over 900 steps..
