Old Store/New Store

I would love to make money blogging about my favorite things, my day to day life and the food I love to make, but for now, I am not making money from it and that is totally cool because I enjoy it so much! I need to have a day job to make a living and I am glad I love my day job as well.

I work in a high-end retail store. The best part of my job is doing the visual merchandising. I went to college for fashion and learned some interesting things there but nothing beats the hands on experience of seeing a transformation of a store!

The store I work at is very small and independent and the resources to give the store a complete make-over every season are not available like in those big stores. So, my job is to turn the store over, into something fresh. When I observe the store day in and day out, I see what works and what doesn’t work, then I work my magic and create a better environment!

The bottom line, I get to reorganize and I LOVE reorganizing!!

Here are the before and after pics:

Before: Men’s clothes, scattered at all different wall lengths

The women’s section started abruptly on the men’s side wall

Women’s section was a bore

And a ton of wasted space and drab presentation in the store entrance way. Totally unwelcoming

After: Better organized, more welcoming, no wasted space!

I love my job!!
