A French Brunch

The morning after Versailles I woke up in a beautiful house of friends of Max’s parents. Even better…a French brunch was being prepared!
Brunch is absolutely my favourite thing about the weekend. Max and I would try to have a brunch at least once a weekend since we started dating but of course it would always be the kind I grew up with. There would be pancakes or French toast, scrambled eggs, coffee, and bacon or sausages if we were lucky (a.k.a. if the budget stretched that far). Even here in France I would prepare this most weekends but never had I tried a French brunch.

It was quite delicious and makes me want to start exploring some other brunch options again…like eggs benedict!! Mmmm.
Our French brunch consisted of muffins, brioche, a cheese plate, raw salmon, a salmon spread to go on bread and a savoury fish tarte. Completely different than what I’m used to but still so yum!
Oh, and let’s not forget the wine…
What is the most unique dish you have ever had at a brunch?
