One Concept / 2 Recipes: Creamy “Cheeses” In Desserts

I made these two recipes a few times over the last couple of weeks. They are super easy to make and so, so, so, so gooooood!

The French are fond of their cheeses and therefore my options are unlimited when I go to the grocery store. I tried out a couple of their creamy “cheese” varieties and Max taught me some uber French treats and then I had to take it one step further and completely make the easy dessert he taught me into something out of this world!

You can use plain yogurt, softened cream cheese, sour cream or cottage cheese for BOTH of these desserts that I am about to show you. They will taste the same no matter what you use and only the texture will change.

I used 4% plain yogurt for the first recipe and cottage cheese for the second. I have also made both of these recipes with sour cream, and plain yogurt. It’s so good no matter what you use!

Let’s Begin!

(Simpler) 1st Version:

Empty a yogurt container into a bowl. I am lucky that in France they come out perfectly molded but don’t worry too much about this.

The second and last step is to pour 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup over top.

Oh, and one more step: DIG IN!

(So easy it’s CRAZY!)

(Slightly More Detailed) 2nd Version:

You will need:

Spiced cookies, crumbled. I used these spicy macaron cookies you can buy here in France but please feel free to use gingersnaps OR snickledoodles would be great too! You also need, some creamy cheesy product, 1 finely sliced apple, maple syrup, butter and brown sugar.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan, add a heaping tablespoon of brown sugar than 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup and finally the apples!

Toss is about and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. The apples will just start to lose their liquid.

Now let’s assemble this!

This makes enough for 2 servings sooooo add half of the apples to a bowl. Hold back the caramel sauce in the pan though!

Then sprinkle the cookie over top.

Then add the cheesy product of your choice.

Then…

Drizzle the whole thing with the leftover caramel sauce from the pan.

Divine!!

Enjoy!!!

P.s. I am only adding the printable for the second recipe!
